Nigeria SEC Proposes N2 Billion Capital Floor for Digital Asset Providers
Nigeria's Securities and Exchange Commission has proposed a N2 billion minimum capital requirement for digital asset service providers, a threshold that industry representatives warn could eliminate indigenous crypto startups. The proposal extends the SEC's formalised crypto registration framework reported on August 23, which already set fees of up to N30 million.
