Wema Bank Generates ₦7.1 Billion From Digital Channels and Posts 54% Profit Jump in H1 2026

Wema Bank has reported ₦7.1 billion in revenue from digital channels alongside a pre-tax profit of N154.56 billion for the first half of 2026, a 53.65 percent year-on-year increase attributed in part to its ALAT digital banking platform. The figures add to evidence that Nigeria's digital-first banking model is beginning to generate meaningful standalone revenue streams.
