Nigeria telcos face growing consumer trust deficit over rapid mobile data depletion

Telecoms experts have characterised consumer complaints about abnormally rapid mobile data depletion in Nigeria as a symptom of a deepening trust deficit between operators and subscribers. The issue is generating regulatory and reputational pressure on Nigerian telecoms companies at a time of already strained relations with the government over tariff disputes.
