Rwanda Launches eKash as National Instant Payments Platform

Rwanda has formally launched the eKash instant payments platform as the country's national real-time payment system, adding another set of instant payment rails to East Africa's digital payments stack. The platform was previously designated as the official national system with a near-zero transaction fee cap.
