South Africa's CompCom Opens Device Repair Market to Third-Party Providers

South Africa's Competition Commission has formally opened the device repair market to third-party providers, challenging original equipment manufacturer lock-in practices. The action gives regulatory force to the consumer rights direction signalled by the right-to-repair guidelines reported on 6 October.
