CBK Issues 29 Additional Digital Lender Licences, Expanding Kenya's Regulated Credit Market

Kenya's Central Bank has licensed 29 additional digital credit providers, adding to the 54 licences issued in the preceding 90 days and bringing the total regulated digital lender count to 281. The continued licensing pace is being described as a regulatory inflection point as Kenya's mobile lending market surpasses $1.27 billion.
