EthSwitch Explores Huawei Partnership on AI, Payments and Connectivity Infrastructure

Ethiopia's national payment switch EthSwitch is exploring a formal partnership with Huawei covering artificial intelligence, cross-border payments, and connectivity infrastructure. The talks could materially reshape the technology layer underpinning Ethiopia's rapidly scaling digital payments system, which processed the equivalent of $8 billion last fiscal year.
