Ghana Mandates 30% Gold Output to Central Bank Under GANRAP
Ghana has formally begun requiring large-scale miners to commit 30 percent of their gold output to the Bank of Ghana and GoldBod under the GANRAP framework, in a resource-nationalism move with significant implications for gold sector investors. Ghana's Lands Minister has signalled flexibility in the rollout, while the Chamber of Mines is advocating for an incentive-based implementation model.
