Ghana Plans Largest Power Plant Since Independence

Ghana's Finance Minister Ato Forson has announced plans to build the country's largest power plant since independence, adding ambition and scale to the government's energy security programme. The announcement follows Ghana's previously stated target of procuring 1,200 megawatts of new thermal capacity by 2029.
