Court Mandates ₦10,000 Licence for Nigeria's ~2 Million PoS Agents

A Nigerian court has ruled that PoS agents must obtain a ₦10,000 operating licence, a mandate that applies to an estimated two million agents and could reshape the last-mile fintech infrastructure that underpins cash-in cash-out services across the country. The ruling applies even to agents who did not seek or consent to the licensing regime.
