Lesaka Posts First Profit Since Net1 Rebrand as Merchant Division Struggles
South African fintech Lesaka has reported its first profit since rebranding from Net1, swinging from a R1.6 billion loss in a genuine turnaround milestone. Its merchant division, however, is declining, with recovery not expected until the second half of FY2027.
